Recovery to Work

The Recovery to Work Project, also known as the Vocational Rehabilitation Program (VRP) is a collaboration between Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) and the Richland County Mental Health & Recovery Services Board. VRP allows OOD to form partnerships and establish cooperative agreements that will generate new, high-quality vocational rehabilitation programs, expand services to people with significant disabilities and maximize federal match funding for Ohio.

VRP allows OOD to maintain services and keep needed federal dollars in Ohio while allowing local partners to expand services. The collaboration between the Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board and OOD has brought funds to Richland County since 2012. These funds provide services to Richland County residents that qualify under the VRP guidelines.

Consumers served under this agreement include individuals with:

  • Opiate addictions or abuse,
  • Severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI),
  • Individuals with an addiction or mental illness diverted from a local or state correctional facility, or
  • Veteran with mental illness or addiction.

The Board utilizes these funds to contract with Catalyst Life Services as the VRP service provider. For more information or to see if you qualify for these services please contact Catalyst Life Services at 419-756-5832.
